Dr. Andrea Trujillo is proud to have been a member of the Smith Veterinary Hospital family since she graduated from veterinary school in 2003.  She was born in Las Vegas, NM and graduated from West Las Vegas High School. 

She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Colorado State University before graduating from Colorado State University Veterinary School in 2003.

Dr. Trujillo is a member of various professional organizations and is certified in Bond-Centered practice by the Argus Institute at Colorado State University.  Her special interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine and the human-animal bond.

While away from the hospital, Dr. Trujillo her husband Phillip and son Oscar, enjoy traveling and watching movies.  Andrea also enjoys reading and writing short stories and poetry.  In 2007 Phillip and Andrea wrote and created a short film called “The Veterinarian” based on some of her experiences at Smith Veterinary Hospital.  The film was shown at the Santa Fe Film Festival in 2007.
