Dr. Yvette Breden is the newest veterinarian member of our team, she was born in El Paso, Texas and received her DVM at Texas A& M University in 1992.  Yvette has joined the Smith Veterinary Hospital team after working in the Albuquerque area for 14 years.  She is a member of the United States Army Reserves, Veterinary Corp as a Captain.  Along with the Army reserves she is a member of several veterinary associations including AAHA, AVMA, NMVMA and she is USDA certified.  Throughout the years Dr. Breden has received several awards including the Dean Brown Memorial Award for Academic Excellence, American Association of Feline Practitioners Award for Excellence in Feline Medicine, the Gentle Doctor Award and the Cambridge who’s who among professionals for 2008-2009.

Yvette has 3 children Lauren, Larisa and Barak.  Also in her family are 4 dogs, 2 cats and 2 birds.  In her free time Yvette enjoys motorcycling, power lifting and fitness running.  While here at work her interests are Dentistry and emergency medicine and surgery.
